From day one, we have had only one goal: to create quality collections through an ethical and responsible process. We are happy to be able to design quality products and guarantee good working conditions. In fact, today we can ensure fair remuneration for factory workers in order to allow people to live decently.

Our Klue socks factories

Our ateliers are Istanbul based because one of the founder is born there but the location is not sufficient: we wanted to find ateliers capable of answering to a strict process of quality, being labeled and fit to our long term values.

That is why we collaborate today with 3 local based ateliers who employed around forty employees on average. All our partners ateliers are :

  • audited threw the system BSCI and received A rating
  • certified Oeko-tex® standard 100

Regarding BSCI, it offers companies a social auditing methodology and report where the highest grade is A.

BSCI provides also a system that helps companies to gradually improve working conditions in their supply chain.

So our ateliers are united by a social commitment by respecting their employees but also environmental. Through a transparent process, establishments demonstrate behavior that respects the environment.

Our ateliers are all certified with Oeko-tex® standard 100.

What is it?

Valid and known worldwide since 1992, oeko-tex® or Oeko-Tex standard 100 certification applies to textile products, ranging from a yarn to a finished item. This system then quickly eliminates all potential sources of hazardous substances throughout the manufacturing or subsequent processing of a textile product.

What does the Oeko-Tex label certify?

The goal is to guarantee you in a simple way that the product you want to buy is not harmful to health and does not present any danger to your skin. Thus the materials used do not contain toxic substances. The more likely the textile used is to be in direct contact with your skin, the stricter, more minimal and controlled the limit quantities to be respected.

How does it work?

Today, Oeko-Tex laboratory tests include about 100 control parameters that are based on international control standards and other recognized test procedures.

In order to guarantee the screening of each product independently, Oeko-Tex has 18 research institutes in Europe and Japan that will analyze each element of a submitted product.

The tests cover more than 300 substances but also the PH, stability and solidity of the colors. Each year, these criteria are adjusted according to scientific advances.

To conclude, throughout production, our team carefully supervises each manufacturing step in order to perpetuate the unique know-how exercised by the workers.  We regularly visit cutting, sewing, ironing, textile printing, finishing and labeling workshops to ensure quality and compliance with the most demanding standards.
